Regional Sustainability Initiative

“We are delighted to have IMS as part of the SWR network”, said Tova Davidson, Executive Director of Sustainable Waterloo Region. “This region, and its corporate community, are more and more understanding not only the duty to act on climate change but the benefits to business of being more sustainable. The services and support our programs offer to IMS will help them to reap these benefits to be a stronger, more sustainable member of our business community.”

IMS is a global leader in vehicle connectivity and data insights, working with leading insurers, mobility operators, OEMs and governments in many countries. Through their award-winning connected car and telematics driven technology, they provide a wealth of vehicle and driving data that not only promotes safer driving behaviours but also driving practices that are both smarter and greener.

“IMS is proud to start the new year by partnering with Sustainable Waterloo Region,” said Brian Halk, Senior Director, Marketing at IMS. “By partnering with the Regional Sustainability Initiative, we gain access to resources, examples, and an increasing network to inspire even more sustainability-related goals and achievements within our community. This will also translate into efforts and initiatives that are also important priorities with our customers, and their end-customers.”

IMS’ first steps has been the creation of a global green team assembled to work in collaboration with SWR, along with immediate work to implement new strategies that will support lowered emissions while demonstrating their commitment to corporate social responsibility and their surrounding community.
